Vladimir Abu-Ali

Co-Founder

Vladimir started Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in late 2012 at Mash Gym. Shortly after starting, that is where him and David began a friendship which would eventually sprout Assembly Detroit from nothing to what we are today. In 2014, Vlad moved his training over to Detroit Jiu-Jitsu and began learning under Professor Danny Agemy. This is where he eventually grew to love the sport of BJJ / Grappling to a point where he would work towards his own school.

Vlad is also Co-Owner of DA Contracting, where he spends most of his work day. The build out of our facility was done by him and his associates.

Vlad was awarded his Black Belt from David Garmo.

• IBJJF Indianapolis Master 2 Gold (Black Belt)

• IBJJF Kansas City Open Class Champion 2021 Master 3 (Brown Belt)
